Mu-ooz-Eritrean
Restaurant,Moorooka, Brisbane
What do you know about
Eritrean food? When I went to Brisbane, a friend of mine took me to the Mu-ooz Eritrean
restaurant in Moorooka. It is located at 97
Beaudesert Rd Moorooka in Brisbane,
Australia. It’s not far from the Moorooka shopping centre where most African people
live. Public transport is available for
customers and there is free parking as well
for people who prefer to go with their
own cars. There are also some other opportunities for families who want
to go with their kids to the restaurant where they can play in playground .
The restaurant serves Eritrean cultural and traditional food and
meals like Zigni,/shiro/ served with the
injera bread (similar to a crepe) and vegetarian meals as well.
I would highly recommend it to anyone because they offer healthy foods, which is
utterly delicious and served with a warm
and friendly welcome from the Eritrean old-style women who have a smile on their faces.
The price of the food is not
expensive compared to the other restaurants where I have been before, but it
does not sell any alcohol. It was an amazing experience for me. I absolutely loved their fresh meals, traditional
dresses, clean
plates and enjoyed the environment of the restaurant as it has
multicultural customers. The Eritrean coffee ceremony is also very
exciting especially for peoplewho are
addicted to coffee like me.
As the supervisor of the women
(Saba Abraha) said, that the restaurant
is very helpful for women who do not have enough income, have language problems
or lack work experience. People who are able to visit the restaurant also have an
opportunity make new friends and support the local refugee community.
Its opening hours are,Tue-Sat 11am-3pm, and
in the evening from 5pm-10pm. This venue accepts bookings
and group bookings
are accepted.
In my opinion, it is a great
restaurant which serves to its best ability to everyone. Moreover, the Eritrean
women are wonderful cooks and coffee makers. I think this is somewhere that everyone should try
especially the coffee ceremony with the wonderful aroma.
